ASH WEDNESDAY
Ash Wednesday falls on 5 March this year. It marks the start of the Lenten season leading up to Easter. As Catholics, we are encouraged to attend Mass to begin the Lenten season with reflection and the right mind-set. It is a day of fasting and abstinence, which is obligatory.
Mass schedule:
-
12.00 noon – Rosary, followed by Mass in English
ii) 7.30 pm – Rosary, followed by Mass in Multilingual
RETURN OF THE OLD BLESSED PALMS
Parishioners are requested to return the old blessed palm leaves from the previous year in order to make ashes for the Ash Wednesday services. Palms can be placed in the basket at the entrance of the Church.
THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Throughout the season of Lent, we will hold the Stations of the Cross every Friday at 7.30 PM in four different languages, followed by the Eucharistic celebration. We invite every Parishioner to pray this meaningful, popular devotion every Friday during Lent. Join us as we reflect on Jesus’ journey to Mount Calvary, His death, and His sacrifice for us. Your presence is essential.
NOTE: We have purchased a new set of the 14 Stations of the Cross to replace the old ones. We expect all languages to come together on 7 March 2025 (Friday, After Ash Wednesday) for the multilingual Way of the Cross to be blessed by the new arrival of the Stations.
